JOB TITLE: Construction Installer/Laborer
REPORTS TO: Crew Lead/Foreman
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
Working with others and under the direction of the Crew Lead/Foreman, the Construction Installer/Laborer is responsible for all aspects of the installation process. This includes but is not limited to the removal of old materials, the installation of new materials, loading and unloading tools or equipment, setting up ladders and planks, as well as the proper maintenance of the jobsite throughout the course of the job.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for removal of existing siding, gutters, roofing, windows, or decks as directed
- The correct and timely installation of materials as directed
- Create custom build outs as required
- Clean up all construction debris daily, and when job is complete in an effort to maintain job site appearance and safety
- Work closely with a team and complete tasks by set deadlines
- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing plans
- Assisting others in their duties when needed
- Ensure all activities are performed in a safe manner
- Other related duties that may be assigned from time-to-time
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The Construction Installer/Laborer should have a high school diploma or equivalent. At least three years of experience in a combination of general construction, residential or commercial construction with emphasis on residential work is preferred. Basic math skills along with good interpersonal skills are required. The ability to work with minimal direction, be a self-starter and work at a fast pace are important for this position. The ability and willingness to become DOT certified is a plus this position. This position is demanding physically and requires the ability to routinely lift up to 100 pounds, stand, walk, climb and bend on an ongoing basis throughout the workday. The demonstrated ability to work from heights is also required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The working environment for the Construction Installer/Laborer is primarily outdoors in all types of weather conditions. There is a minimum of indoor office work required.
JOB TITLE: Exterior Remodeling Specialist (Sales)
REPORTS TO: Sales Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A
FLSA STATUS: Commission Based
POSITION SUMMARY:
As the first point of face to face contact with the potential customer, you will listen to their needs and come up with a solution that fits within their scope of work. As an expert you have the opportunity to suggest other solutions that they may not have considered, and promote upgraded products that Krumm offers. You will also be in charge of all follow through once the appointment has been completed.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for meeting with prospective customers for the purpose of selling work to be performed by Company, provide customer with product samples and information as part of the selling process;
- Responsible for taking photos and measurements of all jobs, provides job quotes to customer either at time of meeting or at a later prearranged date and make arrangements for collection of down payment for agreed upon work;
- Responsible for arranging and participating in pre-job walk around with Production Manager, job supervisor and customer;
- Create draft order in Acculynx system and maintain the file through necessary input of data through the creation of an associated production packet/documents to include pictures, labor notes, diagrams, materials and any special instructions;
- Responsible for maintaining customer contact through the period prior to work commencing;
- Work as liaison with insurance companies in the event a job is related to an insurance claim;
- Responsible for performing all activities in a safe manner;
- Other related duties that may be assigned from time-to-time.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The Exterior Remodeling Specialist must have a minimum of high school diploma with additional schooling preferred. Previous outside sales experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft tools like Excel & Word. An outgoing personality with effective oral and written communication skills required. A clean driving record is an essential qualification for this position. Ability to work with little supervision and multi-task. Eagerness to learn product specifications, and apply that knowledge to everyday situations with customers is essential to this position. Construction knowledge preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The working environment for the Sales Consultant is approximately 20% office and 80% field work during prime installation season which is March through November. During non-prime installation season work is conducted primarily in an office environment.in all weather conditions. There is walking, sitting, climbing and lifting 25-30 pounds involved in this position.

What you’ll do:
Job duties to include but not limited to:
- Attending scheduled residential appointments, capturing both pictures & measurements
- Conduct consultative sales presentations to promote and sell products/services to both existing and new customers
- Prepare estimates/sales agreements, draft material orders and complete production packets
- Prior to jobs, meet with Production Manager/Field Supervisor to review job packet
- Establish, Develop and Maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Maintain a professional appearance of yourself and company vehicle
- Supply management with reports and meet weekly to discuss pipeline, customer needs/issues, and competitive activity
- Generate new leads, referrals and positive reviews
- Attends and participates in trade shows and other marketing events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Willingness to learn and follow procedures
Qualifications you bring:
- 3+ years sales experience in construction industry preferred.
- Required to have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
- Required to have High School Diploma or GED
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Specifically Word & Excel)
- Job may require some weekends or evening work.
- May require some travel for training and seminars.
- Previous experience estimating Windows and Siding preferred.
